Shop Review: This Cabernet Sauvignon shows very good purity of fruit and skillful winemaking. This wine is full of black-fruit aromas, depth and style. The palate pushes ripe plum and berry fruit along with chocolate, and the finish is chewy and correct in terms of tannins and structure.
My Review: Upon first sniffing this wine, I could only describe it as having a very "pungent, spicy" aroma. The taste had quite a bite to it, and the tannins made my mouth dry and puckered. It was clearly very full-bodied. I detected hints of black licorice and a bit of blackberry jam. It was very spicy and acidic, and I felt that it was almost too heavy for my palate.

I tasted this wine on its own without food.
