Tasting: Entrada

Name: Entrada
Variety: Malbec
Region: N/A
Country: Chile
Year: 2012
Price: $5.95

Shop Review: "Firm and structured, this is a solid wine, laced with mineral acidity and tight tannins. It has a juicy, blackberry fruit component cutting through the texture."

Personal Review: This wine had an interesting red-brown color, and it reminded me of tomato juice or clay in its appearance. It was musty on the nose, and it almost smelled dirty. This wine was not sweet in the least, but it also was not tart or bitter. It tasted earthy and oaky, but neither of those were overwhelming. I could taste its alcohol in the finish, when the flavors subsided. I enjoyed this wine.

I tasted this wine on its own without food.
